Accessibility Statement
We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. With that goal in mind we are continually improving the user experience for everyone — while applying the relevant accessibility standards.
What is web accessibility?
Over a billion people in the world (15%) experience some form of disability. A disability is defined as any condition of the body or the mind that makes it difficult to perform certain activities.
Web accessibility (often abbreviated as a11y) is the practice of designing and developing websites, tools, and technologies so that people with disabilities can use them without any hindrance. It aims to ensure that everyone can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the web, as well as contribute to it.
Measures to support accessibility
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of the Ern Berck Digital website:
- Include accessibility as part of our web development process.
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance:
- Level A
- Level AA
- Level AAA
Ern Berck Digital is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
